Özet

Over kanseri, geç belirti vermesi nedeniyle sıklıkla ileri evrelerde teşhis edilen ve kadın hastalıkları kanserleri arasında mortalite oranı en yüksek olan türdür. GLOBOCAN verilerine göre dünyada yüz binlerce kadını etkileyen bu hastalık, hastaların ve yakınlarının yaşamında derin fizyolojik ve psikososyal etkiler bırakmaktadır. Teşhis sürecindeki belirsizlikler, semptom farkındalığının düşüklüğü ve gastrointestinal sistem sorunlarıyla karışan belirtiler tanı süresini uzatabilmektedir. Bu durum, hastaların preoperatif ve postoperatif dönemlerde yoğun ve multidisipliner bir hemşirelik bakımına gereksinim duymasına yol açar. Süreç boyunca karşılaşılan temel hemşirelik tanıları arasında bilgi eksikliği, belirsizliğe bağlı anksiyete, ağrı, plevral efüzyon veya asite bağlı etkisiz solunum, bulantı, kusma ve iştahsızlık kaynaklı beden gereksiniminden az beslenme, halsizlik, cinsellik örüntülerinde etkisizlik, nüks ile ölüm korkusu ve erken taburculuğa hazır olmama yer almaktadır. Hemşirelik girişimleri; hastaya yönelik kapsamlı eğitimlerin verilmesini, nonfarmakolojik gevşeme tekniklerinin ve bilişsel davranışçı terapilerin uygulanmasını, semptom yönetimini ve taburculuk sonrası tele-hemşirelik gibi destek mekanizmalarını kapsar. Sonuç olarak, karmaşık bir seyir izleyen over kanseri hastalarının yaşam kalitesini artırmak ve iyileşme süreçlerini optimize etmek için iyi eğitimli hemşirelerin sunduğu kanıta dayalı ve hasta merkezli bakım kritik öneme sahiptir.

Ovarian cancer is a disease that is frequently diagnosed at an advanced stage due to its late presentation of symptoms and carries the highest mortality rate among gynecological cancers. Affecting hundreds of thousands of women globally according to GLOBOCAN data, this disease leaves profound physiological and psychosocial impacts on patients and their relatives. Uncertainties in the diagnostic process, low symptom awareness, and symptoms that mimic gastrointestinal disorders can delay the diagnosis time. This situation leads to a need for intensive and multidisciplinary nursing care during both preoperative and postoperative periods. Core nursing diagnoses encountered throughout this process include lack of knowledge, anxiety related to uncertainty, pain, ineffective breathing pattern due to pleural effusion or ascites, imbalanced nutrition less than body requirements caused by nausea, vomiting, and anorexia, fatigue, ineffective sexuality patterns, fear of recurrence and death, and unreadiness for early discharge. Nursing interventions encompass delivering comprehensive patient education, implementing nonpharmacological relaxation techniques and cognitive behavioral therapies, managing symptoms, and establishing post-discharge support mechanisms like telenursing. Consequently, evidence-based and patient-centered care provided by well-educated nurses is of critical importance to improve the quality of life and optimize the recovery processes of ovarian cancer patients who go through a complex course.
