Examining the historical process, technologies, and application areas of telehealth in gynecological cancers, this study reveals the importance of remote healthcare delivery. Telehealth is an innovative method aimed at providing healthcare services, education, and support through information and communication technologies, offering time and cost savings. Developing since the 1920s, this system came to the agenda in Turkey in the 2000s and was regulated over time by legal legislations. Telehealth technologies are classified into low-level technologies like mobile phones and SMS; mid-level technologies like online programs and video conferencing; and high-level technologies such as wearable devices, virtual reality, and customized games. In gynecological cancers, these applications have been effectively used for purposes such as early diagnosis, increasing participation in screening tests, symptom management, stress reduction, weight control, and raising HPV awareness. It is stated that success has been achieved in monitoring and improving the quality of life of postoperative and chemotherapy patients, and participants reported high satisfaction with these experiences. Although it is anticipated that these applications, which gained importance with the Covid-19 pandemic, will expand in the future as home-based services using wearable and smaller devices; legislative regulations, training of healthcare professionals, and resource support are required for sustainability.
