Özet

Postpartum dönem, kadınlar için fizyolojik ve psikolojik değişimlerin yaşandığı, kronik hastalık risklerinin arttığı kritik bir süreçtir. Bu dönemde fiziksel hareketsizlik; derin ven trombozu, hipertansiyon, gestasyonel diyabet, kas-iskelet sistemi sorunları ve postpartum depresyon gibi komplikasyonların gelişimini tetikleyebilmektedir. Postpartum egzersizler; pelvik taban ve abdominal kasları güçlendirerek üriner inkontinansı önler, kilo kontrolü sağlar, vücut imajını iyileştirir ve annenin ruh sağlığını olumlu yönde destekler. Komplikasyonsuz vajinal doğumlarda hafif yürüyüş ve germe egzersizlerine hemen başlanabilirken; sezaryen veya komplikasyonlu doğumlarda egzersiz rutini için 6-8 haftalık tıbbi kontrol süreci beklenmelidir. Aerobik, Kegel, pelvik tilt ve derin nefes egzersizleri bu dönemde güvenle uygulanabilecek yöntemler arasında yer alır. Egzersiz esnasında ağrı, kanama veya baş dönmesi gibi uyarıcı belirtiler görüldüğünde aktivite sonlandırılmalıdır. Hemşire ve ebeler, risk faktörlerinin yönetiminde, sağlıklı beslenme ve kişiye özel egzersiz programlarının planlanmasında kritik bir eğitim ve danışmanlık rolüne sahiptir. Düzenli fiziksel aktivitenin yaşam tarzı haline getirilmesi, doğum sonrası dönemde anne sağlığını koruyarak yaşam kalitesini artırır ve kronik hastalık risklerini minimize eder.

The postpartum period is a critical phase characterized by intense physiological and psychological changes, during which the risk of chronic conditions increases significantly. Physical inactivity in this period can trigger various complications, including deep vein thrombosis, hypertension, gestational diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, and postpartum depression. Postpartum exercises play a vital role in strengthening pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, preventing urinary incontinence, facilitating weight management, improving body image, and supporting maternal mental health. While light walking and stretching exercises can be initiated immediately after uncomplicated vaginal deliveries, women who undergo cesarean sections or complicated births should wait for 6 to 8 weeks until their medical checkup to begin a structured routine. Aerobic activities, Kegel exercises, pelvic tilts, and deep breathing are effective methods that can be safely integrated into this period. However, physical activity must be discontinued immediately if warning signs such as pain, bleeding, or dizziness occur. Nurses and midwives hold a critical counseling and educational role in managing chronic disease risk factors and designing individualized, safe exercise plans. Ultimately, adopting a regular physical activity routine enhances the mother's quality of life, accelerates recovery, and minimizes long-term health risks.
