The COVID-19 pandemic has altered lifestyles globally, leading individuals to adopt a sedentary lifestyle due to social isolation and stay-at-home measures. Prolonged quarantine and physical inactivity cause muscle strength and mass loss as well as physical conditions like obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and metabolic disorders, while also triggering mental health problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances. Regular and moderate-intensity exercises strengthen the immune, cardiovascular, respiratory, and musculoskeletal systems, reducing the frequency and severity of upper respiratory tract infections, while boosting serotonin and endorphin secretion to enhance psychological resilience and sleep quality. Home-based resistance movements such as stair climbing, bodyweight squats, push-ups, sit-ups, and planks, along with exergames (active video games), dance, and yoga activities, minimize the negative impacts of inactivity during quarantine. The World Health Organization recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic exercise per week along with muscle-strengthening activities for adults. Structuring exercise programs gradually through initial, improvement, and maintenance stages improves individuals' quality of life, providing sustainable physical and mental health under pandemic conditions.
