Climate change poses serious direct and indirect threats to global public health by triggering extreme weather events such as temperature increases, air pollution, droughts, floods, and wildfires. Global average temperatures are projected to increase by 2°C or more by the end of this century, which raises morbidity and mortality rates worldwide. Increasing heat waves cause heat-related physical illnesses and psychological disorders like suicide, while drastically reducing occupational health and labor capacity in sectors such as agriculture and construction. Children, infants, and the elderly stand out as the most vulnerable groups in this crisis; floods and droughts increase infectious diseases, malnutrition, respiratory complaints, and child mortality. On mental health, new-generation anxiety and grief disorders like "solastalgia" and "eco-anxiety" are triggered. Wildfire smoke exacerbates respiratory and cardiovascular ailments, particularly among the elderly, and causes low birth weight in pregnancies. Mitigating these risks depends not only on physiological acclimation but also on proactive adaptation strategies, including heat action plans, early warning systems, and integrating climate change and public health teachings into the training curricula of healthcare workers.
