Çocuk İstismarını Önlemede Eğitim Programları
Özet
Çocuk cinsel istismarını önleme eğitim programları, küresel yaygınlık ve olumsuz sonuçlar nedeniyle 1970'lerden bu yana gelişim göstermektedir. Başta ABD ve batı ülkelerinde şekillendikten sonra günümüzde Türkiye dahil birçok ülkede uygulanan bu programlar, çocukların kendini koruma becerilerini artırmayı ve farkındalık yaratmayı amaçlar. Cinsel istismarı önlemede birincil koruma süreçlerinde, hemşirelerin halkı eğitme ve sağlık politikalarını savunma gibi kritik rol ve sorumlulukları bulunmaktadır. Müdahale stratejileri; uyumsuz davranışları önleme, yüksek riskli nüfusa odaklanma, çocuğun uygun olmayan dokunmayı tanıması, kriz durumlarında uzun vadeli etkileri azaltma ve klinik destek sağlama gibi beş temel alanı kapsar. Müfredat içerikleri ise beden bilinci, duygular, dokunmalar, "hayır" diyebilmek, sırlar ve yardım arama temellerine dayanır. Okul öncesi ve ilköğretim dönemindeki çocuklara yönelik tasarlanan okul temelli programlar, rol play ve hikayeler gibi tekniklerle bilgi düzeyini artırırken ebeveyn desteği programın başarısında kilit rol oynar. Türkiye'de de önemli bir toplumsal sorun olan istismarı önlemek adına, Sandy K. Wurtele tarafından geliştirilen "The Body Safety Training" programı "Kendi Bedenimin Patronuyum" adıyla kültürel olarak uyarlanmıştır. Bilimsel temelli ve yenilikçi teknolojik yaklaşımların yaygınlaştırılması önleme çalışmalarının etkinliğini artırmak için önerilmektedir.
Child sexual abuse prevention education programs have been developing since the 1970s due to global prevalence and negative consequences. Initially shaped in the US and western countries, these programs, currently implemented in many countries including Turkey, aim to increase children's self-protection skills and raise awareness. In primary prevention processes, nurses have critical roles and responsibilities such as educating the public and advocating for health policies. Intervention strategies encompass five core areas: preventing maladaptive behaviors, focusing on high-risk populations, recognizing inappropriate touch by the child, reducing long-term effects in crisis situations, and providing clinical support. Curriculum contents are based on the foundations of body awareness, emotions, touches, saying "no", secrets, and seeking help. School-based programs designed for preschool and primary school children increase knowledge through techniques like role play and stories, while parental support plays a key role in the success of the program. To prevent abuse, which is also a significant social problem in Turkey, "The Body Safety Training" program developed by Sandy K. Wurtele has been culturally adapted under the title "Kendi Bedenimin Patronuyum". Widespread adoption of science-based and innovative technological approaches is recommended to increase the effectiveness of prevention efforts.
