Dental Anksiyete ve Yönetimi
Özet
Diş tedavisi görme konusunda oldukça endişeli olan kişiler, nüfusun çoğunluğunu oluşturur ve diş hekimleri tarafından dikkatli bir şekilde anksiyetenin yönetilmesi gerekir. Bu bölüm anksiyeteli bireylerin ihtiyaç duydukları diş tedavisini almasına yardımcı olmak için diş kliniğinde kullanılabilecek bir dizi farmakolojik olmayan (davranışsal ve bilişsel) tekniklerin incelemesini sunmaktadır. Anksiyete yönetimi teknikleri, iyi iletişim ve uyum kurmaktan, sistematik duyarsızlaştırma ve hipnoz kullanımına kadar uzanır. Bazı teknikler uzmanlık eğitimi gerektirirken bazı teknikler kaygı düzeylerine bakılmaksızın tüm hastalar için faydalı bir şekilde uyarlanabilir. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucu klinisyenler için dental anksiyetesi olan bireyleri başarılı bir şekilde yönetmenin mümkün olduğu, ancak daha fazla anlayış, iyi iletişim ve aşamalı bir tedavi yaklaşımı gerektirdiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Endişeli veya korkmuş çocukların ve yetişkinlerin tedavisini yapan diş hekimlerinin artmasına yardımcı olmak için çeşitli farmakolojik olmayan anksiyete yönetimi uygulamaları için kabul edilebilir iki kural vardır. Bunlar iyi iletişim ve aşamalı tedavi yaklaşımıdır.
