Kalça Protezi Tarihçesi
Özet
Kalça eklemi insan vücudunda yük taşıyan eklemlerden biridir. İnsanlık tarihi boyunca çeşitli sebeplerle oluşan kalça dejenerasyonu veya enfeksiyonu önemli bir morbidite kaynağı olmuştur. Bu sorunu çözebilmek adına birçok cerrah 18. yüzyıldan bu yana kalça artroplastisi üzerine çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Döneminde çok önemli ve zor bir cerrahi yöntem sayılan kalça rezeksiyonuyla başlayan süreç günümüzde robotik cerrahiye kadar ilerlemiştir. Tasarımlar ve kullanılan materyaller bilgi ve tecrübe birikimiyle birlikte gelişen teknolojiyle değişiklik göstermiş, günümüzdeki halini almıştır.
