Özet

Son yüzyılın ortopedik cerrahisi olarak nitelendirilen TKA’da uzun sağ kalıma en çok etkisi olan gelişmelerden biri de çimento kullanımı, çimento kullanım tekniklerinin ilerlemesi olmuştur. İlk başlarda eski çimentolama materyalleri ve teknikleri ile yapılan cerrahilerde enfeksiyon ve erken gevşeme nedeniyle başarısızlıklar olmuştur. Modern çimentolama teknikleri endüstri ile birlikte gelişmiş ve son derece başarılı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Uygun hasta seçimi, uygun implant ve uygun çimentolama teknikleri ile yapılmış çimentolu kalça artroplastisi hem kısa dönemde hem de uzun dönemde başarılı sonuçlar verir.
