Quality of life and specifically "Health-Related Quality of Life" (HRQoL) concepts, which play a critical role in the healthcare field, have gained significant importance with the adoption of the biopsychosocial model in modern medicine. Defined by the World Health Organization as an individual's subjective perception within their own culture and values, quality of life demonstrates that clinical parameters alone are insufficient in managing chronic illnesses. To evaluate subjective factors such as patients' daily activities and social functions, general scales like Short Form 36 and the Nottingham Health Profile are utilized, alongside the holistic Wilson and Cleary model. It is established that lifestyle variables including diet, exercise, and sleep have a 60% impact on individual health. Accordingly, various preventive and therapeutic approaches applied to enhance the well-being of individuals and societies—such as physical activity programs, self-management interventions, patient education, and cognitive behavioral therapies—are presented with empirical support.
