While health protection approaches are handled in three stages as primary, secondary, and tertiary, exercise is a comprehensive intervention that plays an active role in all these phases. Preventive exercises are tailored specifically to the individual to preserve physical and mental functions, prevent injuries or diseases, and maintain overall well-being. Today, sedentary lifestyles pose a global health threat, increasing the risk of colon cancer, diabetes, and heart diseases. Doing aerobic, strength, flexibility, and balance exercises regularly is recommended for a healthy life. Recently, the importance of mind-body exercises that ensure integration and facilitate "staying in the moment" has been better understood. Modalities such as Yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method, and Pilates help manage stress and increase muscle control and flexibility through principles of breathing, concentration, and awareness. Additionally, the Neuromuscular Integrative Action (NIA) program, blending Eastern and Western disciplines, offers a holistic approach by keeping the nervous system active. In conclusion, for exercises to be effective, they must be planned individually under expert supervision, and movements must be performed in the correct form with body awareness.
