Özet

Pediatrik estetik diş hekimliği, erken çocukluk çağı çürükleri, travma ve yapısal defektler nedeniyle estetik ve fonksiyon kaybı yaşayan çocuk hastaların yaşam kalitesini artırmayı hedefler. Bu amaçla intrakoronal kavitelerde kompozit ve rezin modifiye cam iyonomer simanlar tercih edilirken, aşırı madde kayıplarında paslanmaz çelik kuronlar (PÇK), venerlenmiş PÇK’lar, polikarbonat, stript, jaket, fiberglas ve zirkonyum gibi tam kuron restorasyonlarından yararlanılmaktadır. Ayrıca, doğal anatomi ve renk sunan biyolojik restorasyonlar ile post-core uygulamaları aşırı harap dişlerin tedavisinde etkin alternatiflerdir. İntrinsik renklenmeler ve mine defektleri için mikroabrazyon ve vital/devital beyazlatma (bleaching) teknikleri kullanılırken, diş eksikliklerinde ark bütünlüğünü korumak için protetik apareyler ile büyüme gelişimin durumuna göre dikkatle planlanan implant uygulamaları devreye girmektedir. Son yıllarda artan estetik beklentiler ve materyal çeşitliliği, klinisyenlerin hasta gereksinimlerine göre en doğru tekniği seçmesini kolaylaştırmış ve çocuk diş hekimliğinde rehabilitasyon başarısını artırmıştır.

Pediatric aesthetic dentistry aims to improve the quality of life of pediatric patients who experience aesthetic and functional loss due to early childhood caries, trauma, and structural defects. For this purpose, while composites and resin-modified glass ionomer cements are preferred in intracoronal cavities, full crown restorations such as stainless steel crowns (SSC), veneered SSCs, polycarbonate, strip, jacket, fiberglass, and zirconia are utilized in cases of severe substance loss. Furthermore, biological restorations offering natural anatomy and color, along with post-core applications, serve as effective alternatives in treating severely damaged teeth. While microabrasion and vital/devital bleaching techniques are employed for intrinsic discolorations and enamel defects, prosthetic appliances and carefully planned implant applications based on growth and development are introduced to address tooth deficiencies and maintain dental arch integrity. In recent years, rising aesthetic awareness and material diversity have enabled clinicians to easily select the most appropriate technique according to patient needs, thereby increasing rehabilitation success in pediatric dentistry.
